This paddle showcases 3mm thick firm vegetable-tanned leather in natural brown, representing the pinnacle of traditional leather craftsmanship. Vegetable tanning is a time-honoured process using natural tannins from tree bark and plants - a method practiced for centuries that produces superior quality leather. Unlike modern chrome tanning, veg tan leather develops a beautiful patina over time, creating a piece that becomes uniquely yours through use and aging.
The firm texture of this veg tan leather provides structured, substantial feel that contrasts beautifully with the soft reindeer fur.
